Coaching Philosophy
Our approach to coaching is simple and honest.
We design our programs based on your current level of fitness, your goals and your needs.
Using a variety of assessment tools we gain
an accurate measure to determine your starting point, health challenges, preferred activities and personal goals. Then we design a personalized plan for your success.
And finally we offer training and support to help keep you motivated and on track.
Focus Areas
Health: No matter where you start, your health is most important. If you are starting an exercise program your goals may include reduced blood pressure, improved mobility or healthier body composition.
Fitness: Here is where you take it to the next level. Increased frequency and duration of exercise will significantly improve your quality of life. Goals might include walking in your first 5k, hike a local trail, or begin competing in a sport.
Sport:: Ready to set a PR? By committing to regular, periodized training, based on your goals, anything is possible. With proper coaching you will learn what to do when, and how to fit it all into your busy life.

Whether you are getting into or getting serious in the sport of triathlon, it can be quite a task trying to manage three different disciplines, juggling jargon like base training, tempo runs and lactate threshold, and for many, working a full-time job.
We provide a personal consulting service for both members and non-members. You can sit down with one of our coaches to develop a training schedule and goals for your triathlon season. We will help you:
•
Set personal goals for season
•
Decide which races to go for
•
Decide which discipline you need work on, and how to tackle that
•
Determine goals for individual disciplines
•
Create a training schedule working with your other commitments
•
Follow-up as the season progresses

If you always do what you've always done...
You'll always get what you always got
t1: In a triathlon, the first transition, from the swim to the bike. In life, the move toward active participation in your health and fitness with a coach. Guided crosstraining with swimming, biking and running will give you a safe and varied way to get in shape. Already participating in triathlon? Improve your fitness and performance with more focused training.
t2: In a triathlon, the second transition, from the bike to the run. This is the transition you practice over and over with brick workouts, to make a stronger move to the run. In life, not a single moment, but the ongoing journey toward your goals. With guidance from your coach, you begin to set competitive goals like setting a PR, qualifying for Nationals, completing or competing in an Ironman.
